Membership
Various categories of membership are available allowing for individual, joint or family membership. An initial Joining Fee is applicable for all new memberships in addition to the annual fee, except for Junior and Associate Members. One of the benefits of membership is reduced rates for registrations.
Subscriptions are due for renewal on 1st January each year. Payment can be made by post, telephone, bank transfer or through the online stud-book. Log on and select "manage your herd", then select "subscription renewal".
Joint Membership: Two adults living at the same address;
Family Membership: Two adults and up to three children under 16 years of age living at the same address;
Junior Membership: For 16 years of age and under.
Life Membership: Anyone over 16 years old may become a Life Member, either individually or as a Joint Life Member with another adult living at the same address.
Associate Membership: this provides Newsletters only and neither Associate nor Junior members have voting rights.
All memberships, other than life subscriptions, fall due for renewal on 1st January each year. Reminders are not sent to individuals, a renewal slip is included with the last newsletter of the year.
Subscriptions may be paid by standing order with the relevant form available from the office.
If your subscription is not paid by 1st March, a late payment penalty fee of £5.00 for individual memberships or £10.00 for joint or family memberships will be payable in addition to the normal fee.
Four Newsletters are produced each year and sent to Members. If you have more than one Member in your household (individual Members, not Joint Members), you will automatically receive a copy of the Newsletter for each Member e.g. if there is a Junior and an adult Member. If you would like to help us to save on postage costs and receive only one copy by post or receive your newsletter by email, please advise the Office of this in writing. Membership fees not renewed by 1st March in the relevant year will be held to be in arrears and no further newsletters will be sent until the arrears are paid.
